habits that helped me lose weight & keep it off

As summer is approaching I know EVERYONE is trying to get their summer body ready. After trying countless diets, intense workout routines, and exhausting myself constantly, I decided to really focus on balance and health instead of prioritizing only weightloss.

These are some of the biggest game changers for me

1. healthy, balanced & homemade meals.

i always make sure my first meal of the day is packed with proteins, healthy fats and lots of fiber. i LOVE oats, fruit bowls, chia pudding or yogurt bowls and avocado toast for breakfast. for dinners i always get in my complex carbs, avocado (my obsession) and some form of lean proteins. i love snacking on fruit, protein / fiber bars and smoothies throughout the day as well.

once i started cooking my meals at home and was able to actually choose what was in my food, the weight really started melting off. i was so full, so satisfied, and still losing weight!! you do not need to be in a depressingly strict and little diet in order to lose weight.

2. healthy liquids

this. this is everything. up your water intake. did you know the second you feel thirsty, your body is already dehydrated? soooo many people are not drinking enough water and it is bad for your health in so so many ways.

i love my water personally, BUT you can always infuse your water with fruits, 0 calorie flavoring, etc.

green tea, ginger juices & hot water with lemon are also amazing options for suppressing appetite, aiding in digestion and satisfying cravings!

3. intermittent fasting baby!!

i always mention this, but i swear me and so many others have lost weight because of this beautiful hack. i have another post that goes over a lot of details and information regarding IF, but I also strongly recommend downloading @Litely if you are interested in learning more about it and tailoring a plan to your needs & level. the app tracks everything for you, has an ai coach that is AMAZING, provides meal ideas and will even give you water reminders. they also have a cute live widget so you watch your fast timer in real time😊 also… IT IS FREEE!! there is no reason not to check it out.
