Meal prepping can be tiring, but I’d rather eat mindfully than make poor choices.

When hunger hits, it’s easy for me to reach for convenience, French fries, chocolate, quick fixes like Maggi mee or instant meals.

Today was a good, easy day.

I walked a lot and had lunch with my homies at a Punjabi eatery, no food pics for inspo, just good company and a meal that leaned heavily on carbs. I ended the day with vegan chocolate ice cream, and honestly, no regrets.

Balance over perfection. Always. 🍃🍦

From my personal experience, meal prepping is a great way to avoid impulsive choices, especially when hunger strikes unexpectedly. It’s tempting to reach for quick fixes like instant noodles or fries, but planning meals ahead helps maintain better nutrition without feeling deprived. I found that allowing myself flexibility is key to sustaining healthy habits over time. For example, enjoying a carb-heavy meal with friends or treating myself to vegan chocolate ice cream at the end of the day reinforces a positive relationship with food. This approach reduces stress around eating and supports emotional balance. Physical activity, such as walking regularly, also complements mindful eating by boosting energy and improving mood. Using tools like step trackers can motivate consistency, and setting achievable daily goals makes exercise feel rewarding rather than burdensome. Remember, self-care is not about perfection but about harmony—listening to your body’s needs, nurturing relationships, and savoring life’s simple pleasures. These small intentional actions create a sustainable foundation for overall health and happiness.

Today, I wasn’t expecting to hit my usual goals, as I took part in Thaipusam by carrying a milk pot on my head, weighing around 5kg. By the grace of Lord Murugan, my family and I were able to complete this walk of faith safely and peacefully. After abstaining from food throughout Saturday, I allow

Some days, even starting feels heavy. But then I remember why I began in the first place. I thought about getting a walking pad, but space can wait commitment can’t. So I walked where I could, marched where I stood, and still showed up. One step at a time, right at home. My goal is 6–10k steps.

Had my double peanut butter pancake around 11am with kopi-o kosong, followed by lunch, some chocolates, then walked in the rain and came home to my overnight oats. I still showed up for myself by completing my meal prep for the rest of the week.
