To a healthy start- self care and self love

I assumed I lacked the discipline to pull through, I did not do a meal prep for lunch, thus had red bean and coconut pancake small in size, too hungry thus no pic taken. Hunger hit again at 4pm and only had this bag of chips, kept my bingeing under control had abt a small portion then walked for a bit, came home and whipped up a big batch of veggies/tofu and also

prepared oats for tomorrow.

ok thanks bye....

From my personal experience, it's crucial to be kind to yourself when things don't go perfectly. For instance, missing meal prep can sometimes lead to impulsive eating choices, like reaching for snacks such as chips or small treats like red bean and coconut pancakes. Rather than feeling guilty, acknowledging these moments and making positive adjustments helps in the long run. Incorporating gentle physical activity, such as a short walk post-snack, not only aids digestion but also helps manage cravings and reduce the chances of overeating. Preparing a nutritious batch of veggies and tofu ensures you have healthy options ready, making it easier to stick to your goals. Prepping oats for the next day is another excellent habit, as it provides a wholesome, filling breakfast that can stabilize energy levels. Tracking your progress, like monitoring steps or calories, can motivate you to stay active and mindful throughout the day. However, it’s important to balance tracking with flexibility, so you don’t become discouraged if the numbers don’t always hit targets. Ultimately, self-care and self-love are ongoing journeys that involve patience and realistic goal setting. Embracing small, sustainable habits helps build a stronger relationship with your body and mind, setting you up for healthier days ahead.

Today, I wasn’t expecting to hit my usual goals, as I took part in Thaipusam by carrying a milk pot on my head, weighing around 5kg. By the grace of Lord Murugan, my family and I were able to complete this walk of faith safely and peacefully. After abstaining from food throughout Saturday, I allow

No matter what happens, keep showing up. I keep hearing about poor health caused by years of neglect. I won’t go into details, but it’s a reminder to keep moving and try to eat better. It’s okay to snack just be mindful of your portions. I’ve started making it a habit to walk after lunch, e

Under 25 minutes of quick strength training, followed by walking around while jamming to music and sneaking in a few dance steps. I managed a short walk during my lunch break too, tawa biscuit and black coffee somehow really hit the spot. After a long day, I was grateful I still had enough energ

Some days, even starting feels heavy. But then I remember why I began in the first place. I thought about getting a walking pad, but space can wait commitment can’t. So I walked where I could, marched where I stood, and still showed up. One step at a time, right at home. My goal is 6–10k steps.

Instead of doom-scrolling and draining my energy, I chose cooking time and a gut-friendly meal. In my bowl today: savoury oatmeal made with AYAM veggie cube and frozen vegetables simple, nourishing, and comforting. My goal is to stay consistent with healthy meals, clock my 6–10k steps, and take

Food has always been a comfort, however I haven't been able to make good choices and often I reach out to junk food, such as chocolate, biscuits and fried stuff. I have been consciously putting in efforts to prepare my meals. instead of frying, I have been using my air fryer to cook, one of whic

It was a long day. I walked from home to the temple, then headed to my favourite coffee shop for a kopi o kosong. I had my home-cooked meal and was later offered a chocolate bar all the way from Japan. I took one piece, since I had my own snacks packed a red apple and some nuts. Dinner was simple

Had my double peanut butter pancake around 11am with kopi-o kosong, followed by lunch, some chocolates, then walked in the rain and came home to my overnight oats. I still showed up for myself by completing my meal prep for the rest of the week.

Meal prepping can be tiring, but I’d rather eat mindfully than make poor choices. When hunger hits, it’s easy for me to reach for convenience, French fries, chocolate, quick fixes like Maggi mee or instant meals. Today was a good, easy day. I walked a lot and had lunch with my homies at a Punjab
