If I started my Pilates teacher training today
I wouldn’t just take the anatomy course to get it done.
I’d actually take the time before starting my training to really study it, understand my muscles, what they do, and how they work together. Not just recognize them, but truly know them.
Because honestly, when you start your training without that foundation, you end up memorizing instead of understanding.
When anatomy is clear, everything makes more sense: the exercises, the cueing, the programming. You know why you’re doing something, not just how.
Looking back, I know I would’ve learned so much more, and so much faster, if I had built that base first.
Anatomy isn’t a box to check.
It’s the foundation of everything we teach.
Experience > aesthetics. Always.
