DuoLingo

- free with optional paid plan

- gamified learning

Rosetta Stone

- immersive from lesson 1

- can be expensive

- structured learning paths

HelloChinese

- uses speech recognition

- teaches slang and modern phrases

- smaller community than other apps

... Read moreLearning Chinese can be an exciting journey, especially if you have plans to immerse yourself in the culture. Here are some additional resources and tips to enhance your language learning experience: 1. **Cultural Exposure**: Try watching Chinese films or variety shows with subtitles. This will help you understand colloquial language and cultural references. 2. **Language Exchange**: Joining language exchange communities can significantly boost your speaking skills. Platforms like Tandem or HelloTalk connect you with native speakers. 3. **Online Courses**: Websites like Coursera and Udemy offer structured courses from universities and experienced teachers that can supplement your app learning. 4. **Flashcards for Vocabulary**: Use Anki or Quizlet to memorize new vocabulary. Spaced repetition is proven to increase retention. 5. **Practice Speaking**: Voice messaging apps can help practice pronunciation. Send voice notes to friends or language partners for feedback. These approaches not only provide practical methods of learning but also keep you engaged in the language. Happy learning!
