It's an experience that stays with you long after the credits roll, making it a staple for horror fandoms interested in cerebral scares. Let's not forget Shinreigari: Ghost Hound (2007). This series truly delivers on its mystery, supernatural, suspense promise. It has a mature, introspective feel, focusing on the psychological trauma of its ghost hound characters and their encounters with the spiritual world. It's less about jump scares and more about building a pervasive sense of dread and unraveling complex human stories alongside the supernatural. And to show that 'supernatural' isn't always grim, I also included Zombie Land Saga (2018)! While it's a comedy, music, supernatural show about zombie idols, it still plays with supernatural themes in a fun, lighthearted way, proving how diverse the anime genre can be, even within mostly horror or supernatural realms.
