... Read moreGrief is an intensely personal experience that often reveals the true nature of our relationships. From my own journey, I have noticed how people around us can either become pillars of support or sources of further heartache during such vulnerable times. One surprising aspect is how some acquaintances or social media connections reach out more consistently than close family members. This phenomenon highlights that support can come from unexpected places, reminding us to cherish those who show genuine care, regardless of the relationship's traditional label. Conversely, lifelong friends or family members sometimes unintentionally withdraw, either because they don’t know how to help or they are coping in their own way. This absence can feel like a deep betrayal but understanding their perspective can be part of the healing process. Moreover, grief often sharpens our awareness of authenticity in relationships. People who “message and message” without pressing for responses provide a comforting presence without adding pressure. This subtle approach—sending love hearts or simple thoughts like 'thinking of you'—can mean more than grand gestures. Through my experience, I've learned that grief also reveals those who may be more focused on material concerns, which can be painful when family members view loss in terms of 'assets and gain.' Accepting these complex dynamics allows us to protect our emotional well-being. Ultimately, grief reshapes our social circles and tests relationships. Recognizing and appreciating the supportive individuals who remain quietly present can bring solace and fortify us on our journey toward healing.

Grief
Grief is odd. You think you’re okay and over it for now. But then a scent, a sound snaps you back to painful memories. You wonder what happened. You wonder why such things happen. You wonder if you’re enough. Maybe things happened the way they did for the better. Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise.

Grief is weird
Yeah grief is a strange thing to go through. I lost my sister and grandmother 6 months apart in 2022. My sister was murdered at the end of July making me dread summer and my grandmother the day after Christmas so yeah I hate the end of the year. Grief is not linear. Grief does not discriminate.

Grief Journey
Grief has a way of bringing you closer to yourself. It stirs up all kinds of emotions—sometimes all at once, and other times, unexpectedly. I’ve had moments where I was having a wonderful conversation, and suddenly, tears would flow as memories flooded in. Instead of pushing those feelings away, I

Taking care of yourself is an essential part of the healing process. Grief can be overwhelming, and it's easy to forget that your well-being matters too. Self-care isn't selfish—it's necessary. Whether it's a quiet walk, a moment of meditation, or simply allowing yourself to rest, t

How God is present through my grief
Mourning the loss of a loved one is inevitable. God comforts all of us. Each one of us may experience God’s comfort in a different way. This is my process with God. 1️⃣ Allow myself to grieve. I cry ugly tears to get it all out. That is my way of releasing my worries, fears, anxieties, and pain

Grief is a Journey, Not a Perfect Trip
We all go through times in life where grief feels overwhelming—whether it’s from losing a loved one, ending a relationship, or closing a chapter of our lives. While the pain may seem endless, self-care is a small but powerful way to nurture yourself through the toughest moments. 💫 In this post,

not every slow start is peaceful. some mornings feel like survival in disguise. you open your eyes, not because you’re ready, but because you promised yourself you’d keep trying. and that’s enough. brushing your hair. pouring the coffee. not crying this time. that’s proof too. this
