Losing a father is one of the most profound and heartbreaking experiences anyone can face. As time passes, the rawness of the loss doesn't necessarily fade; instead, it transforms into a quiet ache that lingers beneath the surface of daily life. Six months after my dad passed, I still find myself grappling with the reality that life feels so different, almost unrecognizable without him around. Many days the pain feels overwhelming, like a heavy weight on my chest that I can’t quite shake. I’ve learned to smile and push through my routines, but inside, there’s a constant reminder that a piece of my heart went with him. It’s important to acknowledge that healing doesn’t mean forgetting or ‘getting over it’; instead, it’s about finding ways to continue living while cherishing their memory. One thing that has helped me tremendously is talking openly about my feelings and seeking support from others who understand. Whether it’s family, friends, or support groups for grief, sharing your story can bring comfort and lessen the loneliness that often accompanies loss. I also find solace in small rituals—lighting a candle on special days, carrying an item that reminds me of my dad, or simply whispering a little message to him when I need strength. I often wonder if he sees me, feels my struggles, and knows how much I still need him in my life. That hope keeps me going. To anyone else facing similar loss, remember that it’s okay to not be okay sometimes. Grief is not linear, and it takes time to adjust to a world that doesn’t feel the same. Your love and connection remain even if they’re no longer physically present. Above all, be gentle with yourself. Keep his memory alive in your heart, and allow yourself the grace to feel all the emotions that come with losing someone so dear. Rest in peace to all the fathers we carry with us always.

I love you this much, and endlessly more🫶🌸
A heartfelt declaration of deep and enduring love. It expresses a commitment to fight for the relationship, to endure long distances, and to stand by each other during difficult times. Emphasis on the desire to never give up, to believe in y’all shared future, and to spend a lifetime together,
