I am so proud of myself.

I became a CNA in 2012 and I enjoyed the work, although it was challenging. Fast forward to the pandemic, things got a little rocky. so I stopped working in 2019. unfortunately, my certification lapsed. The only way I could work as a CNA or go for my LPN was to retake the test. So, on May 28th I took the exam and passed! I was so nervous but I am so happy that I did. I can't wait to start my nursing journey!#Futurenursing #LPN #RN

This test not only certifies you to work but also paves the way for advanced nursing roles. The challenge of retesting due to lapsed certification, particularly during tough times like the pandemic, can be daunting. For those considering a career in nursing, understanding the certification process is crucial. In Illinois, CNAs are not licensed, and the completion of the exam is necessary to gain certification. It's important for candidates to stay informed about eligibility and testing resources. Official results from the exam will be available on the Health Care Worker Registry roughly 10 days post-exam, providing confirmation of your certification status. Additionally, aspiring nursing students must prepare for the challenges ahead in their education, including hands-on training and theoretical learning. Joining a supportive community, like those offered by platforms such as Lemon8, can provide valuable advice, tips, and emotional support throughout your journey towards becoming a licensed practical nurse (LPN) or registered nurse (RN). Engaging with forums and fellow nursing students can enhance learning and motivation. The nursing path is challenging but immensely rewarding, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives.
