In my personal journey, I have found that true growth in faith often starts when I stop making excuses for the things that diminish my spirit and instead choose to surrender those barriers that separate me from God. It’s a humbling process because society tends to equate strength with pride or the ability to resist change, but I’ve learned that real strength stems from humility — admitting when I’m wrong and genuinely seeking to change. One of the most powerful transformations happened when I embraced repentance not as a punishment but as a renewal of commitment to a better path. It’s easy to feel ashamed, but tending to make our hearts quick to repent helps maintain softness before God and encourages continual growth. Equally challenging has been practicing forgiveness. Holding onto grudges can harden the heart and create separation not only from others but from God’s grace. Seeking strength and fortitude to forgive those who have offended me was one of the hardest but most liberating spiritual exercises. It removed spiritual burdens I didn’t realize I was carrying. I also resonate deeply with the idea that grace is not a license to continue sin but a call to rise above it. Grace empowers us to live with a spirit of humility and the courage to transform our lives. Every day, I remind myself that growth begins with the willingness to surrender pride and embrace a faith-driven mindset. This ongoing process of faith, grace, humility, forgiveness, and repentance collectively fosters not only spiritual growth but also mental resilience—encouraging a growth mindset in every aspect of life. Reflecting on this, I encourage others to keep their hearts soft and open, to pray for strength, and to remember that true growth comes from these acts of surrender and renewal.
