I adopted Jasper one day when I received a call from the shelter. They asked me in a very sweet voice and words if I wanted to hear a letter.
I adopted Jasper on Friday, not because I wanted a dog, but because the silence and loneliness at home were bothering me; that’s why I adopted him.
Jasper was an old dog, 15 years old, a bit frail, with thin ears, and he could see poorly out of one eye. His card stated that he loved peaceful places, and it also mentioned that he had been at the shelter for a long time.
When I went to him, he neither barked at me nor played; he simply got up slowly, came to me, and stood near the door as if he had given up hope.
That’s why I decided to adopt him.
