One of the most liberating things people can realize is that you are not actually mentally ill, but your body is just energetically filled with illness that you have accumulated over many years of traumatic events. Mental illness is a concept that was created by modern psychiatry. But the root of it is so much deeper than someone having something chemically wrong with their brain. It is sickness that stores in the body after trauma. Even if you don’t really have memories of what happened, even if your brain blocked it out, & even if you claim to be totally fine, your body remembers & it holds onto that energy.
I have been working with psych🌈s for about 12 years now. After working with them extensively for this long with the intention to heal, I can most definitely say that I’m not broken & I do not have any chemical imbalances. I was just holding onto a lot of traumatic energy for a very long time & all the mental health system did was convinced me that there was something wrong with me instead of teaching me how to process it & let it go.
The same can be said for so many different people, but we get stuck in the headspace that there is something wrong with us because we’ve been diagnosed with something or a variety of things.
These are nothing but labels that have been given to us by the mental health system that refuses to understand us & our past. They mean nothing if we have the willpower & the strength to move past it.
Psych🌈s have taught me so much about the traumatic experiences I’ve had & it’s also helped me to let go of those experiences so that I can move forward & create a beautiful life for myself.

From my experience and conversations with many who have felt similarly, understanding this energetic perspective has been transformative.
What often happens is that people label themselves mentally ill because of diagnoses handed down by the mental health system. However, these labels may overshadow the crucial fact that trauma, often buried deeply and sometimes forgotten, continues to affect our bodies energetically. Even without conscious memories, the body holds on to these experiences, manifesting as emotional or psychological pain.
In practice, focusing healing efforts on acknowledging and releasing this trapped trauma rather than solely addressing symptoms with medication can bring profound relief. Techniques such as somatic therapy, mindful breathing, and trauma-informed psychotherapy help individuals reconnect with their physical sensations and gradually release stored tension. This process can feel liberating and foster a newfound sense of freedom, self-compassion, and agency over one’s healing journey.
Moreover, moving past the stigma of mental illness labels requires inner strength and the commitment to trust oneself. The realization that "you are not mentally ill" but instead carrying energetic wounds shifts focus from being broken to being human and healing. Surrounding oneself with supportive professionals who honor this holistic view proves essential for creating sustainable progress.
Ultimately, shedding the weight of psychiatric diagnoses and embracing a compassionate understanding of trauma can open doors to healing, growth, and a more joyful, fulfilling life. This energetic approach to wellness encourages empowerment and hope, reminding us all that our bodies remember, but they also have the incredible ability to heal.
