Nobody talks about the inbetween of these two people. They don’t tell you one day you’ll cry how hard it is and the next you will do it all over again. They don’t tell you how a whole year of not losing a single lb, will make you question everything. They don’t tell you about all the research, sleepless nights, just to do everything right and still make small strides. No one is going to tell you, but I will. But the irony of it all was that it was worth it. It’s worth all the in betweens to feel confident in you. #pcos #midsize #michiganmom #bingeeatingrecovery #parentloss
Living with PCOS is often an unspoken struggle, especially when it comes to weight management and emotional health. From my own experience, the hardest part was facing those long stretches where no progress seemed visible — despite countless hours of research, careful planning, and sleepless nights devoted to doing everything right. It can feel incredibly isolating when a whole year passes without losing a single pound, leading to doubt and frustration about whether it's even possible to improve. What many people don’t realize is that recovery and progress are not always linear. The emotional roller coaster includes difficult days filled with tears and moments when you question your worth. For me, integrating mindful eating practices helped tremendously in overcoming binge eating tendencies that often accompany this condition. It's not just about the physical journey but also the mental and emotional healing that requires patience and kindness toward oneself. Being a midsize woman and a mom added layers to my journey, balancing family life while managing my health. Connecting with others facing similar challenges, like through #pcos and #bingeeatingrecovery communities, provided encouragement and shared wisdom. Additionally, dealing with personal grief, such as #parentloss, affected my emotional resilience but ultimately contributed to a deeper understanding of self-worth beyond the scales. This journey showed me that every small stride counts, even if it doesn’t immediately reflect in visible changes. The 'in between' moments — the struggles nobody talks about — are often the ones that build true confidence and strength. For anyone facing a similar path, remember that persistence is worth it, and your worth extends far beyond any number on the scale.
