Day 29 of My 30-Day Arm Challenge! We are finally back. This sickness has taken me out. I have never missed this much. It’s crazy. Don’t take your health for granted.
I built this program myself, and I’m excited to see the strength and growth that comes from it.
Here’s the workout:
• 4 sets x 12 reps — Lateral Servers
• 4 sets x 12 reps — Around the Worlds
• 4 sets x 12 reps — Scarecrows
• 4 sets x 12 reps — Tricep Pulses
• 4 sets x 12 reps — Front servers
• 4 sets x 12 reps — Bicep Curls (last set = AMRAP)
• 4 sets x 12 reps— overhead tricep extensions
Finished strong with 50 reps on the final bicep curl set 🔥
Let’s see what we can do in 30 days together. #pcos #midsize #michiganmom #bingeeatingrecovery #bodydysmorphia
After completing almost a full month of this 30-day arm challenge, I can say that building muscle and increasing strength is truly a combination of consistency, proper form, and listening to your body. Despite the setback caused by illness, which made me miss several days, I came back with renewed energy and focus. This taught me not to take my health for granted and to appreciate even the small progress. The variety of exercises like lateral servers, around the worlds, scarecrows, and tricep pulses really target different parts of the arms, which helps prevent plateaus and encourages balanced development. For example, lateral servers engage the side deltoids while around the worlds activate the entire shoulder girdle, and combining these with focused bicep curls and overhead tricep extensions ensures that every major arm muscle is worked thoroughly. One important tip I learned is to include an AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible) set at the end of the workout for bicep curls. This pushes your muscles beyond usual limits and can trigger growth if done with good form. It’s essential, however, to maintain control and avoid momentum to reduce injury risk. Completing 50 reps in the final bicep curl set felt like a huge personal win, showing that perseverance pays off. Also, incorporating rest days when your body needs it, especially after illness, is crucial to avoid burnout. Tracking progress each day, whether in strength, endurance, or number of reps, helps keep motivation high. If you are dealing with conditions like PCOS, binge eating recovery, or body dysmorphia—like many people tagged in this challenge—exercise can be a powerful tool not just for physical health but also for mental wellness. Finding a routine you enjoy and that suits your health needs can be life-changing. Don't hesitate to modify exercises to suit your level and consult healthcare professionals as needed. Lastly, this challenge reminded me that accountability—whether to oneself or a supportive community—can make all the difference in sticking with a fitness program. Sharing your journey, setbacks, and successes openly helps maintain momentum and inspires others to do the same.
