Deep introspection question 🤔

#letschat

If you could go back in time and talk to your younger self, what would you say?

I would tell my younger self that it's okay. It's okay to be sad for the childhood you didn't get to experience. It's okay that you felt angry for all of the hurt and abuse you faced. That there is nothing wrong with you, you just got delt a bad hand. It's okay to grieve for the relationships you didn't get to have because they were hurting too. You don't have to prove yourself to be worthy of love. You don't have to bend until you break to make others feel okay. It's okay to look for happiness. Last but not least, forgive yourself for the decisions you made when you didn't have proper guidance. 🩵

... Read moreIntrospection and self-reflection are crucial for emotional healing. Many individuals struggle with feelings of inadequacy stemming from childhood experiences. Recognizing that it’s okay to feel sad about lost moments or to grieve relationships that never were is vital for moving forward. Healing isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a brave step towards inner peace and self-acceptance. This journey often includes forgiving yourself for choices made during times of confusion or pain. Engaging in self-reflective practices, such as journaling or meditative thinking, can enhance your ability to connect with your inner self. Don’t hesitate to seek help from mental health professionals if past traumas feel overwhelming. Sharing stories within communities, like those on Lemon8, can also foster a sense of belonging, enabling users to realize they are not alone in their struggles. While healing takes time, it is essential for personal growth. Everyone's journey is unique; what matters is taking the first step towards understanding your feelings deeply and compassionately. Remember, introspection can lead to life-altering realizations about self-worth and happiness.

Oh man soooo many things. Take your time, finish college, listen to your intuition. Set boundaries and stick to them. Don’t give anyone an inch cuz they’ll take a mile. Waiting to have my daughter (I was 17/a senior in HS). A big one is to let it go! It’s not that serious. Move on!
