These items for note taking are a daily use/practice for me. Here’s what they are and why I love them:
1. Writech pen set
This set comes with all the colors you need for your notes. Gel pens (2 colored gel pens, black gel pens, and highlighters). I have the pink set, but there’s blue, green and yellow you can purchase as well.
2. Pentel energel .5mm
This pen is a favorite to all note takers, and it’s popular for a reason. If you want a reliable note taking pen, get this one! ;)
3. Note cards
create a title pouch at the end of you subject notes to keep note cards in for that section. This helps you stay organized, and it’s a cute little hack you can use!
4. Mr. Pen highlighters
I’ve spoken about the so many times, and I will never stop! These highlighters are great for aesthetic notes because they come in the prettiest pastel colors. They are square shape so they also don’t roll off the table ;)
5. Pilot pens
Any pen that you get is absolutely worth it. No matter what mm, length, color, ink or gel, you will love it! It’s good to always have back up pen, and it should be a pilot.
I hope you can get yourself some of these great stationery items and let me know how you like them! I would love to hear some of your favorite stationery finds!
... Read moreCreating truly aesthetic and neat notes goes beyond just having pretty stationery; it's about how you use your tools to make your learning experience more engaging and effective. If you're looking to elevate your handwritten notes and embrace a more organized, visually appealing system, here are some personal tips and tricks to complement your favorite stationery.
First, let's talk about building your aesthetic palette. The Writech pen set, with its array of colors, and the pastel Mr. Pen highlighters are fantastic starting points. I find that choosing a consistent color scheme for each subject or topic helps immensely. For example, use one gel pen color for main headings, another for subheadings, and a third for key terms. The soft, pastel colors of the Mr. Pen highlighters are perfect for emphasizing without overwhelming your page, giving your notes that clean, appealing look. Plus, their unique square shape is a game-changer – no more highlighters rolling off your desk during an intense study session!
Next, the foundation: your notebook. While the original article focuses on pens, a good notebook is crucial for achieving that desired aesthetic. Look for spiral-bound notebooks with smooth, thicker paper that can handle gel pens like the Pentel energel .5mm and various highlighters without excessive bleed-through. This ensures your smooth writing experience isn't ruined by ink showing on the next page, keeping your handwritten note aesthetic pristine. The Pentel energel .5mm is a personal favorite for its consistent ink flow, making neat notes much easier to achieve.
Now, let's integrate those versatile note cards. Beyond just being a cute hack, these are organizational powerhouses. I love creating mini-pouches within my main subject notes to store specific note cards. They're ideal for vocabulary quizzes, summarizing key concepts, or jotting down questions to ask later. This method not only keeps related information together but also makes reviewing quick and efficient – perfect for those times you need to quickly recall information without sifting through pages of notes.
Finally, the importance of reliable pens cannot be overstated. As mentioned, having a collection of Pilot pens ensures you always have a dependable backup. Whether it's for everyday writing or complex diagrams, a pen that writes smoothly and consistently, like the Pentel energel or any Pilot pen, significantly contributes to the overall neatness and aesthetic of your notes. Investing in a few high-quality, reliable pens is truly worth it for anyone serious about improving their note-taking game. By thoughtfully combining great stationery with smart organizational strategies, you'll find yourself creating beautiful, effective notes that you'll actually enjoy looking back at.
