My pens <3

A whole page of notes requires me to switch in between pens, markers and highlighters! So in this post I would like to show you what stationery i use and what way i use them in my notes! I’m hoping this can give you an idea of what to use your stationery for. Here is is:

1. Pentel energel .5mm

I use this pen to BOLD items in my notes. This is for important information/words.

2. Muji Gel .38

This fine point pen is used for my daily writing. This lasts me a very long time since its so fine point. Using a thin pen also allows the .5mm pen to look bolder.

3. WRITECH Sign brush pen

This is a favorite that I’ve heard lot of good things about! Many people use this for fancy titles, but i use it for a bolder, simple title for my page. This color determines my color scheme in the rest of my notes.

4. Mr. Pen Highlighters

I use these to underline and highlight topics in my notes that I would like to remember. This helps me navigate my notes better when in ready to study!

Do you use any of these items?

... Read moreCreating truly aesthetic and neat handwritten notes isn't just about having the right tools—it’s also about how you use them! After years of trying different methods, I've found a few tricks that make a huge difference in clarity and visual appeal, especially when it comes to effective studying. You’ll be surprised how much these small habits can elevate your note-taking game. First, let's talk about layout and hierarchy. While my Pentel EnerGel is my go-to bold pen for important items, it’s crucial to establish a consistent system. I always use a clear margin on my pages, even if the notebook doesn't have one. This provides space for annotations, questions, or symbols later. I also make sure to use bullet points for lists and consistent numbering for processes. This structure helps create a visual flow, making your notes less daunting and easier to scan during revision. Remember, neat notes aren't just pretty; they're functional! Next, color-coding is a game-changer for student revising notes with highlighters. Beyond just underlining topics with my Mr. Pen highlighters, I assign specific colors to different types of information. For instance, blue could be for definitions, yellow for key concepts, and pink for examples. The soft, neat pastel colors of my highlighters make this easy on the eyes. This method helps me quickly identify what I need to focus on when I'm reviewing. It’s like creating a visual map of your knowledge, enhancing your aesthetic study notes. Now, for those beautiful, neat handwriting notes. My fine-point Muji Gel pen is perfect for daily writing because it encourages me to write smaller and more consistently. To improve your handwriting aesthetic, try focusing on uniform letter height and spacing. Practice writing slower and pay attention to basic strokes. While I don't aim for perfect calligraphy for every word, consistent letterforms contribute significantly to the overall neatness. Don’t be afraid to practice on scratch paper until it feels natural! Finally, let’s make those calligraphy titles truly pop! My WRITECH Sign brush pen is fantastic for creating bolder, simple titles. To take it a step further, experiment with different pressure points – light pressure for upstrokes and heavier for downstrokes. You don't need to be a calligraphy expert; even a slightly more decorative title can break up the page and grab attention. I often use a contrasting color for my titles, which then sets the color scheme for the rest of my page, tying everything together into a cohesive and aesthetic pencil and paper experience. These little touches make the process of note-taking more enjoyable and the end result more effective for learning.

Have you ever tried LePen? I have the bright colors and pastel ones. I got them at Walmart.
