When I first met neapolitan (nea) my friend actually had named her neapolitan because she was 3 different colors!! i loved it so much that i ended up keeping it!! and it fits because i call her nea most of the time!!
Now for amaretto, her name was gonna Calliope and callie for short because she’s a calico and i thought it was fitting!! i still wish i stuck with it! but i do think amaretto fits her very well!! and when i was a kid i used to take small sips of Amarula when my family would offer it and i liked it!! but i thought that amaretto was amarula so it was a happy accident that i named Ama that!
Maca has had a lot of different names but when she finally came into my care, i STRUGGLED with names, especially bc i didn’t want anything basic like cotton or cloud or marshmallow etc. I love Macadamia white chocolate cookies so there came that name!!
Kiwi came with her name, she was my best friends and she had named her Kiwi when she first got her.
Walnut and Cashew I named because of the way their shells looked. Cashews was a very very light tan and walnuts is a dark brown. I thought it was fitting and since all my others are named after food, they worked with the group!
