One of the absolute highlights of our fall trip to Amish Country Ohio with my best friend Brittany was definitely our farm visit! You know, we’d always talked about experiencing traditional farm life, and this was our chance. The crisp autumn air, the colorful leaves everywhere – it was just the perfect setting. Brittany was especially excited about seeing the animals up close, and we were both eager to learn more about how things work on an Amish farm. We had the incredible opportunity to visit a working dairy farm, and let me tell you, it was an eye-opener! While I can't share a full video of everything, seeing the cows being milked was such a unique experience. We watched in awe as the farmers, with their incredible skill and dedication, went about their daily routines. It really gives you a new appreciation for where our food comes from. Brittany even got to ask a few questions about the process, and we learned so much about the care that goes into raising healthy animals and producing fresh milk. It wasn't just a quick peek; we spent a good amount of time just observing and soaking it all in. It felt so authentic and peaceful, a complete contrast to our usual busy lives. Beyond the milking, the entire farm visit was a sensory delight. The air smelled of hay and fresh earth, and the sounds of farm animals were so calming. We saw fields dotted with bright orange PUMPKINS, ready for harvest, which perfectly captured the spirit of autumn. Everywhere you looked, there was a sense of tradition and community. After exploring the barn, we made our way to a small farm stand. You absolutely have to try the fresh-baked goods here! We picked up some incredibly soft, homemade bread ROLLS and a block of their famous, creamy BUTTER. Seriously, it tasted unlike anything I’ve ever bought from a store – so rich and pure. We even found some delicious apple cider to go along with our treats. Our time in Amish Country wasn't just about the farm, though that was a huge part of it. We spent our days driving along scenic backroads, admiring the horse-drawn buggies, and stopping at charming roadside stands. Every interaction felt genuine and welcoming. It's truly a place where you can disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with simpler pleasures. Brittany and I kept saying how much we needed this getaway. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape, a taste of authentic rural life, and some unforgettable fall memories, I can't recommend a trip to Amish Country Ohio enough.
