When One Person Carries Every Number
Sometimes one person in a relationship quietly becomes the keeper of everything.
The due dates.
The account balances.
The bills coming next week.
What is left for groceries.
What needs to move to savings.
What can wait until the next paycheck.
The other person may genuinely believe, “We handle money together.”
But if only one person has to remember everything, that person may feel very alone in the responsibility.
Working together does not mean splitting every money task exactly 50/50.
It means both people understand the plan, both know what matters next, and neither person feels like the entire household depends on what they can remember.
Divide the responsibility — not the team. ❤️
