You may lack naturally occuring lithium in your body and not have depression or bipolar. Microdose of lithium can sometimes help depression symptoms.

2/8 Edited to

... Read moreIn my personal experience and through my reading on mood disorders, I've found that lithium, traditionally used at higher doses to manage bipolar disorder, is increasingly being explored in microdoses for depression. Unlike the usual treatment doses, microdosing lithium involves consuming very small amounts, which some studies suggest may help stabilize mood and alleviate depressive symptoms with fewer side effects. Natural lithium is a trace element found in water, soil, and various foods. Some research indicates that people in regions with slightly higher natural lithium levels show lower rates of suicide and depression, which supports the idea that lithium might play a role in mood regulation even at very low doses. Before considering lithium microdosing, it's important to consult a healthcare professional, since lithium requires monitoring to avoid toxicity. However, for some with mild to moderate depression who might not respond fully to conventional treatments, microdose lithium could be an adjunct option worth exploring. It's also useful to consider lifestyle factors that contribute to mental health, such as diet, sleep, exercise, and stress management. Combining supportive habits with any treatment approach, including lithium microdosing, can optimize overall wellbeing. Overall, while more research is needed to solidify guidelines and effectiveness, microdosing lithium presents an intriguing avenue for depression care, especially for those who struggle with traditional medications or seek complementary approaches.
