I absolutely love this lo’real shampoo and conditioner, I absolutely adore vanilla smells, and they both smell like vanilla.
I just started using this acne treatment and I’d say it’s pretty good but I am open to other suggestions.
I use both the vanilla dove soap bar and sensitive soap, vanilla all over and the sensitive one for intimate areas.
I absolutely love using exfoliating scrubs + hand glove to help soften my skin for shaving, I also cannot pick between dove and tree hut scrubs.
I usually use the vanilla bliss shaving cream but I unfortunately ran out but I do EOS shaving creams, and a five blade razor.
I use this African soap bar for my arm pits just to help brighten them up and smooth them out after I shave especially since I go to the gym in tank tops a lot!
I use African net sponges too and wash them bi-weekly, I love how they feel and how quick they dry, super easy on road trips.
I usually use a body wash from bath and body works, Olay and dove, they are my go to body washes just for an extra clean and a nice hang on sweet.
I use baby dove for as well as intimate areas as well since it’s better for sensitive areas and makes me feel very fresh!

... Read moreIt's awesome to see so many of us prioritizing our health and hitting the gym! But let's be real, an intense workout can leave you feeling a little... less than fresh. That's why having a solid post-gym hygiene routine is non-negotiable. Building on my own go-to products, I wanted to share some more insights and popular choices that many active individuals swear by to stay clean and confident.
First off, for hair, especially if you're sweating a lot, a clarifying shampoo can be a game-changer. While I adore my L'Oréal deep nourish shampoo for its scent and softness, sometimes you need something extra to cut through sweat, product buildup, and oil. Brands like Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Shampoo or Aveeno Apple Cider Vinegar Blend are often recommended for their deep cleansing properties without stripping your hair too much. And for those days when washing isn't an option, a good dry shampoo (Batiste or Living Proof are popular) can absorb excess oil and give your hair a quick refresh before you head out.
When it comes to body cleansing, focusing on antibacterial properties can make a huge difference, especially if you're prone to body acne or just want that extra clean feeling after touching gym equipment. Beyond the lovely Dove sensitive soap bar I use, many gym-goers reach for body washes with ingredients like salicylic acid or tea tree oil. For instance, Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash uses salicylic acid, and Dr. Bronner's Pure-Castile Soap (unscented or tea tree) is a versatile option for a deep clean. Remember those African net sponges or exfoliating gloves? They're fantastic for getting a thorough scrub and helping to prevent ingrown hairs, especially for those sensitive areas after shaving.
Let's talk skin! Post-gym, my foaming cream wash for acne treatment is a lifesaver. Many find that regular workouts can lead to breakouts due to sweat and friction. Look for gentle cleansers and treatments from brands like CeraVe or La Roche-Posay that specifically target body acne with ingredients like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. And moisturizing immediately after showering is key to rehydrating your skin, especially if you've been exfoliating.
And of course, deodorant and antiperspirant are crucial. While the original routine focuses on cleansing, a powerful deodorant or antiperspirant is a gym bag essential. Clinical strength options from brands like Secret or Degree are favorites for those who sweat heavily. For those preferring natural options, brands like Native or Lume have gained popularity.
Finally, don't forget the little extras! A portable hand sanitizer for before/after equipment use, and even a quick spritz of a body mist (like the Bath and Body Works ones I mentioned) can boost your confidence. Maintaining a consistent routine with products that cater to your active lifestyle, like gentle sensitive skin care wash for babies for delicate areas or a shea butter soap for extra moisture, makes all the difference in feeling your best, both in and out of the gym.
I am so obsessed with vanilla scents too! Do you think the L'Oreal shampoo smells strongly of vanilla?
