Attending your first big concert can be an exciting but sometimes overwhelming experience, and my Coldplay concert at Rogers Stadium was no different. One of the biggest challenges I faced was parking — the nearby plazas like Best Buy and Costco were the only available spots, even though parking there isn’t officially allowed. It meant a decent walk of about 30 minutes to the stadium, so plan ahead and wear comfy shoes! Another crucial lesson was timing. Although the event officially started at six, the main act didn’t perform until around nine. Smaller opening artists filled the earlier hours. So, if you’re a parent or have a tight schedule like me, expect some waiting time before your favorite band hits the stage. Seating also made a significant difference. We had great front-view seats but realized we missed some cool stage effects like star-shaped confetti. If possible, try to get floor or side tickets next time for a more immersive experience. Watching Coldplay from up close offers a different vibe, full of energy and surprises. Overall, if it’s your first concert, my advice is to arrive early, plan your parking, wear comfy shoes, and manage your expectations about start times.
