... Read moreIf you ever visit Bruges, you'll quickly realize why it's nicknamed the Venice of Belgium. Besides its famous picturesque canals that wind through the city, what truly makes Bruges special is how well-preserved its medieval architecture is. Walking along the cobblestone streets, you feel transported back in time, surrounded by centuries-old buildings with stunning gothic and renaissance façades. One of my favorite things to do in Bruges was taking a leisurely boat tour on those calm, reflective canals, especially during sunset when the golden light hits the water and historic bridges, creating a fairytale atmosphere. It’s a photographer’s paradise! Food lovers will also appreciate the local delights. Belgian waffles topped with fresh fruit or cream, traditional French fries with rich sauces, and of course, world-class Belgian chocolates are everywhere. I recommend trying them at small family-run chocolatiers away from the busiest tourist spots for an authentic taste. Exploring on foot or by horse carriage is the ideal way to soak in the cozy vibe of hidden alleys, quaint cafés, and bustling market squares. Many locals are friendly and welcoming, always happy to share stories about Bruges’ rich history that dates back to the Middle Ages. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a peaceful solo trip, or a cultural excursion, Bruges offers a magical blend of history, cuisine, and scenic beauty that lingers long after you leave. Don’t miss visiting the Markt Square, Belfry Tower, and taking time to pause at charming cafes along the canals for a truly memorable experience.

Do you collect travel souvenirs? 🧳
One of my favorite ways to remember my trips is by collecting magnets from the places I visit. 🧲 I love seeing my fridge covered in little reminders of all the amazing places I've been. I have quite a few favorites but absolutely love them all as they each have a story. 🌍 Do you collect
