I know this might be unpopular… but not every “must-try” spot actually lives up to the hype.

I finally checked out one of the most talked about places in Memphis

But the food itself… I’ve definitely had better. This is arcade restaurant and it’s a skip in my book

And that’s the thing about traveling, sometimes the most hyped spots aren’t the best ones.

During my trip to Memphis, I was eager to check out the arcade restaurant that everyone seemed to rave about. The menu featured classic American fare, including the famous Elvis sandwich, but the flavors didn’t quite meet my expectations compared to other local eateries. What stood out most to me was how the hype doesn’t always match the experience. Traveling is filled with wonderful surprises and occasional disappointments, and sometimes the spots that get the most buzz just don’t deliver the quality you hope for. For me, the arcade was more about the vibe than the cuisine. If you’re a foodie like me, Memphis has plenty of other gems worth exploring, from authentic barbecue joints to cozy diners that serve up mouthwatering Southern dishes.
