⚠️ Experience Never Forgotten, Temporary Amnesia Syndrome (TGA)

Hello everyone, this post is meant to share an experience that you didn't think would happen to yourself about mothers with Transient Global Amnesia (TGA) or Transient Amnesia, a disease that many people may not have heard of before.

When the mother is excellent memory...Can't remember anything

My mother is a very good memory person. I remember every detail. The size of the phone number is still used to remember. Even if we set a warning on the phone, just tell my mother to get a warning on time!

Until one day when we and Mom had just returned from abroad, we returned to the condo, and Mom came home with Jet Lag at 2: 00 a.m., and we lined up to tell her that she couldn't sleep, and it turned out that the mold had responded...But it's a strange language, not my style, and I said I was going to the hospital.

My heart wasn't good. Hurry up and call my dad and take her to the hospital. I was most afraid of Stroke.

All the way to the hospital and when preparing the admit, the mother repeatedly asked 3 questions: "Where is the mother?" "What is the time?" "What time is it?" When the third question is finished, she will come back and ask the first question like this. At that time, she was very upset. The same mother suddenly disappeared without warning. But when she asks, she will try to smile and answer calmly so as not to increase the tension of the mother (although the heart is very confused).

After the initial examination, the doctor did not find any disorders. Stroke passed it to the neurological doctor the next morning. At that time, the mother's condition was even worse, asking the same question repeatedly and looking so stressed that we thought that the mother was confused and worried about us.

When the neuroscientist did an MRI, the brain didn't find anything wrong.

That afternoon, the doctor came to visit her and began to ask simple questions such as, "Remember where you went?" or "Where to stay?" Our mother began to answer, and the symptoms gradually improved. At night, she began to remember almost all the stories, but there were still some things that were not the same, such as we normally talked with each other, but that night she would answer all the questions with complete information, but without the usual sense of humor.

The doctor allowed me to go home the next day, and it took me about a week, and I slowly returned to myself, and now all health is healthy and there are no more amnesia symptoms.

What we have learned from this experience

I'm very happy that this has happened in my life because of TGA. The doctor can't tell me exactly what caused it. Usually, after 24 hours, the patient will be able to remember again. After asking her when she recovered, it turns out that she doesn't remember anything during the 24 hours she has TGA 😅.
