Le Ramadan est un mois sacré qu’il ne faut pas négliger. Repentez-vous, car Allah est le plus miséricordieux.🤍
Having observed Ramadan for several years, I've come to appreciate the depth of its spiritual dimensions beyond fasting. One essential aspect that truly enriches this month is the preparation of the heart and mind through gratitude and repentance. Ibn el-Jawzi, a renowned scholar, emphasized that being thankful to Allah for granting the opportunity to witness Ramadan increases His blessings exponentially. This gratitude isn't just an abstract feeling; it manifests in sincere worship and conscious observance. During Ramadan, I found that engaging in regular prayers and making heartfelt du'a (supplications) truly enhances the sense of closeness to Allah. The Qur’an mentions that the doors of heaven are open, and those of hell and rebellious devils are closed during this blessed month, symbolizing an extraordinary chance for purification and spiritual renewal. An inspiring story I recall is from the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who were told that even a single day of Ramadan is a blessing greater than what most can imagine. They shared that being able to fast and engage in devotion during Ramadan elevates a believer’s status significantly—sometimes more than living additional years without this opportunity. Moreover, the time of day matters. Prayers and du’as made especially during the early morning or late afternoon are considered more likely to be answered. Personally, I have felt the peace and joy that the Prophet encouraged believers to hold—truly joyous hearts uplift the spiritual experience of Ramadan. Finally, my recommendation is to approach Ramadan as a sincere commitment, not just an obligation. By renewing your intention, seeking forgiveness, and embracing repentance, you open the door to Allah’s immense mercy. This spiritual preparation creates a joyful atmosphere that sustains faith beyond Ramadan, turning it into a continual journey of closeness to Allah and personal growth.
