My Make-Up Blindness Story 😬🫣
My makeup journey has been ROUGH.
Vulnerability
🤍 My Story: To start this off we are gonna talk about:
~ eyebrows… when i first started filling in my brows i would make them so chunk and halfway up my forehead almost 😬, i would also forget to blend it in and thought i ate everytime…
~ shade mistakes… i would either pic shades WAY too light or WAY too orange and i didnt blend properly so i looked like i was wearing a face mask
~ eyeliner… ah 2020 and my infamous chunky, sloppy eyeliner, i always thought i looked so cool
~ contour… when i was first learning it was so bad i gave up and finally had the confidence to try when my friend taught me properly
~ lipliner… i was really self conscious about my thin lips and would over line WAY TOO much, god forbid someone saw my side profile 🫣🫣
~ blush… also 2020 for some reason i wanted the whole middle of my face pink
🤍 My Takeaways: i’ve definitely improved quite a bit since then, and keep it minimal, i have learned to work with my actual eyebrow shape and shade, found the proper skin shade, A LOT less blush, and i barely contour now bcs tbh if i don’t do it right i hate the whole look, but if i do it, i do it prebase, eyeliner i stay away from, lips i still over line but i color my actual lip shape and top line
Makeup is an art that can often feel overwhelming, especially for those just getting started. Many beginners make common mistakes that can hinder their progress. Learning about eyebrow shaping is essential; finding your natural brow shape and enhancing it can create a more polished look. When it comes to foundation, choosing the right shade is crucial. Test shades on your jawline to match your skin tone accurately. Eyeliner techniques can vary drastically, with various styles such as tightlining, winged eyeliner, and graphic designs. If you struggle with eyeliner, consider practicing with different applicators, such as gel or felt-tip pens, to find what works best for you. Additionally, mastering contour requires understanding your face shape and practicing blending techniques to avoid harsh lines. Blush can elevate your look but requires a light touch to avoid looking overdone. Start with less product and gradually build up to your desired intensity. Lip liner can help define your lips and create a flattering shape; consider selecting a shade that matches your lipstick for a more seamless finish. Embrace your makeup journey with patience and creativity. Remember, makeup is about expressing yourself and having fun; don't be afraid to experiment and learn from your mistakes.
