I also try to create cozy vibes around me—soft blankets, calming music, and gentle lighting—which helps cultivate a sanctuary feeling. This sets the stage for a self-care Sunday that feels nurturing, not stressful. Slowing down and genuinely resting this way has made Mondays less daunting; I start the week feeling steady and faithful rather than frazzled. To anyone struggling to switch off, I recommend setting boundaries like avoiding screens for an hour or two and resisting the urge to check emails or tasks early in the day. Allow yourself to pretend you’re not thinking about your to-do list—even if your mind wanders there briefly. This daily spiritual and mental 'reset mode' is a nourishing practice that empowers me to face Monday’s demands with calm resilience.
