Did my nail tech do me right??
2 weeks before the 4th of July, I ended up going to a different salon instead of going to my guy Lee. This other salon was huge and fancy. My pedicure was nice, I loved the "princess" treatment I recieved, but I was not super thrilled with my manicure. I work in an office and need to be able to type quickly and effectively, so I typically get shorter styles. (Shout-out to the talented people who can type fast and well with long nails!)
Not only did the tech at the fancy salon low-key make fun of me for wanting short nails, but she didn't even do the coffin shape I wanted :(
I kept asking her to go shorter with the nails, and I swear she would move her clippers down like a centimeter 😭 I even pointed with my other hand how short I wanted to go. She eventually ignored me and made my nail about an inch and a half long. Instead of doing a coffin shape like I had asked for, she made them square, which I hated. (I love square nails on other people, but I think they make my fingers look like Vienna sausages..)
Overall, I learned my lesson and will instead opt to wait until Lee has openings. He knows what I like and the first time I asked for short acrylics he said "Ah, very smart, very practical" 🥹
Note to say: Lee does wonderful nail art, I'm just boring and prefer to have solid colors on my nails lol
