The pain we hide isn’t quiet.
It just learns how to speak in ways no one questions.
It shows up in forced smiles,
in “I’m fine” said a little too fast,
in the way we shrink parts of ourselves
to keep the peace.
It lives in the space between what we feel
and what we’re allowed to say.
We carry it carefully
not because it’s light,
but because we’ve gotten strong
from holding it for so long.
The hardest part isn’t the pain itself…
it’s pretending it isn’t there.
It’s loving, giving, showing up,
while something inside you is quietly breaking
and no one notices
because you’ve mastered looking whole.
And maybe that’s the truth we don’t say out loud
that some of the strongest people
aren’t unhurt…
they’re just hurting in silence.#healing #heartbroken #lost
