Saved by Grace through Faith
Romans 3 verse 22 says, “We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.”
It doesn’t matter who you are, what race or ethnicity, or what you’ve done in your past. It says it’s for “everyone” who believes.
It says in verse 23, “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”
Again it says “everyone” has sinned and we “all” fall short. Yes some sins are worse than others, but “all” sin separates us from God and we “all” need His grace and forgiveness.
Verse 25 says, “For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood.”
To have salvation, you have to believe in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ that covered our sins. There is simply no other way.
On another note, some think it’s ok to sin because God will forgive us anyway but the Bible says in verse 8 that “Those who say such things deserve to be condemned”.
When you have the Holy Spirit in you, you will no longer find sin acceptable. When I began asking the Holy Spirit to bring conviction to my life, there were things I personally didn’t think were sinful but man did he humble me. I no longer can do certain things I was doing without feeling guilty and defiled but let me tell you my life has way more purpose and fulfillment.
