staying motivated to post on Lemon8🍋💐💌
Real talk? I haven’t!
I have so many ideas of what to post on this app & absolutely love how highly edited and curated everything is, but that’s also what causes my motivation to decline. everything is so perfect & when i’m not in the mood to sit down and edit photos for 20+ minutes, i feel like im not doing enough for this app!
i love the community and content that this app brings, but it’s hard to stay motivated when you see bigger creators posting flawlessly curated content & u feel like urs isn’t enough.
what i’ve been doing is, on a day where i feel motivated to create content for this app, i create a BUNCH & save it to my drafts to post later on! but even then, i have things sitting in my drafts that still need editing & text & captions & stickers & oh my gosh, suddenly it’s all too much.
one other thing that has been keeping me going is the diary challenge. i like the diary challenge bc i know there will be a reward at the end. i want to participate in events like “buy or bye” or their gamer girl promo, but it’s impossible to win unless you have a large following already on this app! i see all these posts saying “what i’ve won so far on lemon8!” and can’t help but feel demotivated because i can’t win too.
am i the only one who feels this way? i love this app & it’s community & their preaching of effortless & not necessarily curated content, but i can’t help but feel like im not doing enough or am being judged for lack luster posts, which kills my motivation to post entirely.
do you have any strategies you use to stay motivated to post on lemon8? lmk!!

Staying motivated to post on platforms like Lemon8 can often feel overwhelming, especially in an environment where content is highly curated. Many users struggle with self-doubt, comparing their content to that of more established creators. To combat this, it's essential to recognize that content creation doesn't have to be perfect to resonate with your audience. One effective strategy is to establish a regular posting schedule that works with your lifestyle. This way, you can manage expectations and avoid the pressure of spontaneous posting. Setting aside dedicated time for content creation can help in scaling your output without feeling overwhelmed. Consider batch editing your photos and writing captions during a single, focused session. Apps with editing templates can speed up your workflow and maintain a cohesive aesthetic without extensive time commitment. Additionally, participating in community themes or challenges serves as a great source of inspiration, fostering a sense of connection and accountability among users. Engagement within the community is also vital. Interacting with others' posts can inspire new ideas and offer affirmation. Don't hesitate to ask for feedback or share your thoughts on group challenges - this can lead to an organic exchange of support and strategies from fellow creators. Lastly, remember to celebrate your progress, regardless of how small it may seem. Keeping a positive mindset and understanding that creativity ebbs and flows can significantly enhance your enjoyment and reduce feelings of inadequacy. Keep your love for the Lemon8 community at the forefront, and you'll find your rhythm in content creation!

I've also seeing creating a bunch of posts that I save in my drafts. it's so helpful for me to just prep the posts and then one day to just post it without overturning
