6 things I always Take to an ER visit
1. Eye mask- the lights are always so bright and I get migraines easily. Also if I end up admitted, it helps me actually sleep when I have people coming in and out of my room all night.
2. Blankets & pillows- it’s always so cold and the hospital blankets are not soft or comfy. Having my home comforts really helps reduce extra pain and stress.
3. Emotional Support stuffie- it helps to have a comfort when my spouse has to run home to check on animals or just to squeeze when I’m in pain
4. Back pain relief- the beds are TERRIBLE. I try to remember pain patches and a tens unit to reduce some of the back pain from the thin mattresses and awkward angles
5. Health doc- I made myself a comprehensive medical document with up to date information like: dxs, medications, surgeries, and current symptoms. Check out my links for the blank doc!
6. Communication card- I made this dry erase card for when I’m in too much pain or anxiety to use words. Also in my links.
