🇹🇭 PORK LEG RICE THAT’S SUPER TENDER 🐖🐷

📍wok n wing

i always miss the food from 🇹🇭, so i was sooo glad to find a stall that sells authentic thai food that tastes almost identical to the real deal! their menu is super extensive, so i only managed to try a few of their signature items — but honestly, everything was great 😌

pork leg rice: a MUST-ORDER! this dish surprised me the most because it’s not commonly sold in sg. the pork was incredibly tender, pulled apart easily and literally melted in my mouth 🤤 there was a good mix of fatty & lean meat too, so everyone can enjoy!

claypot prawn vermicelli: the portion was HUGE — the noodles felt like they never ended hahaha they also gave 5 big, fresh prawns 🍤🦐 that were bouncy, sweet and tender. the vermicelli soaked up all the goodness from the broth, turning springy and full of garlic & sesame oil flavour 😮‍💨 i would’ve liked a lil more wokhei, but it was still a solid dish!

steamed fish with lime sauce: THE LIME SAUCE was the 🌟 — perfectly balanced between sweet, tangy and spicy. the seabass tasted really fresh and came with a lot of meat 🐟 so you’re really paying for both quality and quantity!

tomyam soup: a classic 🇹🇭 dish that was well executed, with a spicy punch that wasn’t too overpowering. i loved the strong lemongrass aroma too!

chicken wings: another signature item (as expected from their stall name!) the wings were served piping hot, super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside 🍗

overall, this is definitely one of the better thai spots i’ve tried in sg — flavourful dishes, generous portions and affordable prices 😌 i wanted to try their thai fried bananas too, but they were sadly sold out 😢 next time then :)

... Read moreIf you're craving an authentic taste of Thailand in Singapore, Wok N Wing in Buangkok is definitely worth a visit. Along with the standout pork leg rice, which combines tender pork with a perfect balance of fatty and lean meat, their menu offers a variety of traditional Thai dishes that make each meal special. One other thing I appreciated was how fresh and generous the ingredients felt, especially the prawns in the claypot vermicelli that soaked up all the flavors from a rich broth. It’s not just about quantity, though—the vibe and flavors remind me of eating street food in Thailand, which adds to the experience. If you’re exploring options nearby and wondering about other dishes, I highly recommend trying the steamed seabass with lime sauce. That lime sauce really steals the show with its blend of sweet, tangy, and spicy notes. For spice lovers, the tomyam soup delivers a balanced spicy kick and fresh lemongrass aroma, making it comforting yet exhilarating. For those who enjoy crispy snacks, the chicken wings here live up to the stall's name, arriving hot, juicy, and perfectly crispy. I was a bit sad the Thai fried bananas were sold out during my visit—they’re supposed to be a popular dessert option, so definitely ask if they’re available! Overall, Wok N Wing offers a flavorful, authentic, and affordable Thai meal that fills you up without emptying your wallet. Great for lunch or casual dinners, whether you’re out with friends or craving a solo foodie adventure. If you live nearby or are passing through, this spot should be on your list to try some of the best Thai pork leg rice and other comforting dishes in Singapore.

Braised pork belly comes in different tastes. I don’t have a particular secret sauce. I’ll just mix whatever I can find in my fridge. Braising pork belly is always forgiving, difficult not to be tasty. For this braised sauce; 3 tsp miso paste 3 tsp oyster sauce 3 tsp soya sauce 1 tsp instant
