Following Haiti's remarkable presence on the World Cup stage, I have truly felt the unity and pride that sports bring to a nation. Supporting the Grenadiers, Haiti’s national team, isn’t just about the game; it’s about celebrating the country’s culture, resilience, and dreams. June, which I call my "mode Haïti" month, was filled with anticipation and excitement as I followed every match closely. The atmosphere was electrifying, with fans from all over the world showing their love and support. Even when the results were uncertain, the sense of achievement in seeing Haiti compete globally was undeniable. Being part of this journey reminded me that sports transcend boundaries. For Haitians at home and abroad, the World Cup is a chance to showcase the nation's talent and spirit. It sparked conversations about Haiti’s potential and inspired younger generations to dream big. Looking ahead to World Cup 2026, the momentum and enthusiasm surrounding the Grenadiers continue to grow. Planning community gatherings and events to watch the games together has created bonds among fans, strengthening our shared identity. This experience has also opened my eyes to the importance of supporting local athletes and fostering sports development in Haiti. In sum, being a fan during Haiti's World Cup moments is more than following a sport—it’s embracing a collective pride that unites us all. I’m grateful for the memories made and eagerly anticipate the future where Haiti’s presence in soccer becomes even more prominent.
