QUICK DINNER EVEN THO I CRIED TODAY ( つ̥︣﹏╰̥̥)

I sobbed for an hour, and then I made dinner.

today was rough for a million different reasons. at the end of it all I cried in a heap on my bed for about an hour.

and then, after I laid in bed for a bit, I realized I can be sad and still do something for myself, even if it’s something small.

remember to let yourself feel, let the emotions pass through you before jumping into a task.

I thought of it as helping my future self out, chances are I’m still gonna be bummed tomorrow. at least I can find something small to look forward to.

I made chicken and rice burritos, took about 20 minutes and even got my mind off of what was making me sad. if you want a quick meal here’s how to make it;

Ingredients:

1. Soft tortilla wraps

2. Chicken (any kind of meat but I used Trader Joe’s BBQ Teriyaki Chicken)

3. Rice (I would recommend white rice, coconut jasmine rice was a little sweet for my liking)

4. Sauces (Japanese BBQ sauce from Costco’s literally makes even flavorless foods taste BANGING!) I also used sesame teriyaki sauce.

5. (not pictured) lettuce, or any kind of greens really

Directions:

1. In a pan, heat up/fry your meat of choice until crispy. Add in Japanese BBQ sauce, garlic, onion and pepper (or whatever seasonings you prefer)

2. Cook/heat rice-I used 90 sec rice to make it easier so you just have to pop it in the microwave.

3. In a separate pan, warm tortilla on both sides. Add in chicken and rice before moving to a plate. Add greens last so they don’t wilt. Wrap them up and enjoy!

4. BONUS! Once you start moving it’s easier to keep going. I made tortilla chips which is so so easy to do! Just slice the tortilla and dust with oil and salt. Bake 350 for 10 minutes or until crispy

Last picture is my very non aesthetic, messy lunch. It’s not much, but I cried today and then I made dinner, I can at least celebrate this.
