Honest book review :)

Ok, I’m doing my best to block out distractions to prioritize my reading. Normally this would have been a 1-2 day read but I have some other things that need wrapping up, work, and mommy duties. I appreciate your patience guys 🥰

Now for my review…

Y’all? I was screaming at the pages almost the whole way through, in the BEST possible way!!! This book scratched my intuition itch like nothing else can. NOTHING (and I mean NOTHING) is as it seems… whatever you THINK you know about these characters gets obliterated by the plot twists… I am simultaneously traumatized and smitten, and I am sad to leave these pages. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ hands down, get it if you don’t already have it!#honestbookreview #readratedandreviewed #lemon8bookclub #thrillerbooks

... Read moreThere's nothing quite like discovering an author whose work completely captivates your imagination, right? For me, that recently happened with Jason Rekulak and his incredible novel, 'Hidden Pictures.' I've always been on the hunt for authors who can craft a story so immersive, you forget the world around you, even with all its distractions like work and mommy duties. When I picked up 'Hidden Pictures,' with its intriguing dark cover and bold red spine, I had a feeling it was going to be special, and it absolutely delivered. What truly makes an author stand out? Is it their ability to build complex characters you genuinely care about, or perhaps their talent for weaving a plot so intricate it keeps you guessing until the very last page? For me, it's a combination of both. Jason Rekulak masterfully achieves this in 'Hidden Pictures.' The way he plays with your intuition, making you question everything you think you know, is simply brilliant. Every plot twist felt earned, every revelation genuinely surprising, leaving me simultaneously traumatized and utterly smitten, just as I mentioned in my initial review. It’s the kind of book that becomes a well-loved book, destined for a bent spine from being carried everywhere and read at every spare moment. Finding authors like Jason Rekulak can sometimes feel like searching for hidden gems. I often rely on honest book reviews, recommendations from my #lemon8bookclub, and even just browsing the thriller section, letting a compelling cover catch my eye. When you find an author who resonates with you, it's like striking gold. Their stories become a priority, even when life gets busy. It’s why despite my hectic schedule, I made sure to carve out time for this 5/5 rating read. It's truly a testament to an author's skill when their words can cut through the noise of daily life and demand your full attention. For anyone looking to dive into a truly gripping thriller, 'Hidden Pictures' by Jason Rekulak is a must-add to your reading list. It’s an experience that goes beyond just reading words on a page; it’s an emotional journey crafted by an author who clearly understands the art of suspense. And once you've finished, I'd love to hear – what authors have you discovered recently that left you just as speechless and eager for more? Share your honest findings, because good authors deserve all the recognition!
