Hai Tien Lo Cantonese Dining Experience

If you love refined Cantonese cuisine in Singapore, this is a place worth adding to your list. 🇸🇬✨

Recently I had the chance to experience the elegant Cantonese dishes at Hai Tien Lo located inside Pan Pacific Singapore. The restaurant blends traditional Cantonese cooking with modern presentation, led by the talented Chef Edden Yap, who brings more than 30 years of culinary experience.

Every dish reflects deep respect for Cantonese heritage, yet feels fresh and contemporary. From premium seafood to slow-braised classics, the flavours are balanced, refined, and beautifully plated.

One of the highlights is Chef Edden’s signature creations that showcase creativity while keeping the soul of Cantonese cuisine. You can truly taste the craftsmanship behind each dish.

Congratulations to Chef Edden on receiving the Tatler award — a well-deserved recognition of his dedication and passion.

Thank you to the entire team at Hai Tien Lo for such a memorable dining experience. Wishing everyone prosperity, happiness, and great food in the Year of the Horse and Chinese New Year. 🧧🐎

Hai Tien Lo
3/5 Edited to

... Read moreDuring my visit to Hai Tien Lo, I was truly impressed by how each dish combines traditional Cantonese flavors with innovative plating and presentation. One standout dish was the Australian lobster in Chinese wine broth, which was rich and aromatic, perfectly complemented by the tender braised South African dried abalone accompanied by sea cucumber in special chef abalone sauce. These ingredients exemplify the premium quality and attention to detail that define Hai Tien Lo. The dining experience was further enhanced by the A5 Wagyu beef served alongside Inaniwa udon, showcasing a wonderful balance of textures and taste that felt indulgent yet refined. To conclude the meal, the double boiled bird's nest was both comforting and memorable, balancing luxury with health-conscious Chinese culinary traditions. What really strikes me about this restaurant is how Chef Edden Yap, with over 30 years of expertise, brings creativity to classic dishes without losing their authentic soul. His recent Tatler award is a testament to his skill and passion for Cantonese cuisine. For anyone planning a special occasion or simply wishing to savor high-quality Cantonese dishes in Singapore’s elegant setting, Hai Tien Lo is a must-visit. The staff are attentive, the ambiance is sophisticated, and the food celebrates Cantonese heritage with a modern twist. Whether you are a seafood lover or a fan of slow-cooked delicacies, the menu has something that will delight every palate. I recommend booking in advance, especially during festive seasons like Chinese New Year, when the chefs craft special menus highlighting seasonal ingredients. This ensures a memorable dining experience that pays homage to tradition while inviting diners to explore innovative flavors. Overall, my experience at Hai Tien Lo was exceptional, and I look forward to returning to try more of Chef Edden’s signature creations.
