Mountain Man book review

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5

The next book in the series is complete. Today I’m reviewing Saved by the Mountain Man by Gemma Weir and I’m giving it 3 stars!

This book is pretty on point with the other four in the series. Honestly, when I pick up one of these, I know exactly what I’m getting

1. dominant

2. possessive

3 alpha mountain men who fall hard and fast.

And overall? I do enjoy these books. They’re super easy reads and perfect when you’re in the mood for something intense but not overly complicated.

This one follows the youngest Bennett brother, Teddy. He’s spent his whole life thinking he lost “the one” back in high school. When he finally looks her up, he finds out she’s happily married with kids. He basically shuts himself off from love and settles into bachelor life, being the fun uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Then Juniper moves to town with her brothers… and Teddy is instantly hooked. He makes her an offer that she definitely plans to decline. Juniper wants passion and real love. And what Teddy’s offering at first isn’t it. But after a much needed reality check from his brothers, Teddy realizes Juniper is his… now he just has to prove to her that she’s more than a convenience. She’s the one.

If you love over-the-top alpha energy, protective mountain men, and small-town vibes, this is absolutely your series. A 3-star rating from me doesn’t mean bad. It just means solid, predictable, and exactly what I expected.

Would you read this one? 👀💕

... Read moreSince you're here checking out my thoughts on 'Saved by the Mountain Man,' you probably already know how much fun these books can be! I wanted to share a bit more about what makes Gemma Weir's work, and especially her Montana Mountain Men series, so captivating for me and so many other romance readers. First off, let's talk about Gemma Weir herself. In my experience, her books are a go-to when I'm looking for a specific kind of romance: raw, intense, and undeniably alpha. She has a real knack for crafting heroes who are possessive and protective, but in a way that feels utterly devoted to their heroines. What I appreciate most about her writing is the consistency. When I pick up a Gemma Weir book, especially one in this series, I know exactly what I'm getting. There’s a certain comfort in that predictability, knowing I’m in for a wild, passionate ride with a guaranteed happily ever after. Her storytelling style is always engaging, pulling me right into the rugged world of her mountain men. Speaking of the series, 'The Montana Mountain Men Book Five,' which is 'Saved by the Mountain Man,' is a fantastic example of what makes this collection shine. As the cover art often promises with its rugged men in plaid shirts, these stories are all about strong, independent women finding their match in equally strong, often gruff, mountain men. While each book stands alone with its own couple's journey, there's a lovely thread that connects them through the Bennett brothers. For instance, I've seen some of you searching for 'Owned by the Mountain Man by Gemma Weir cover,' which is another popular title in this series. What's cool about them is that even though the heroes share similar traits – dominant, possessive, protectors – their individual stories and how they fall for their heroines always feel fresh. It’s like visiting familiar friends but seeing them in new, exciting situations. So, why are 'mountain man' romances, and specifically this series, such a hit? For me, it's the ultimate escape. There's something incredibly appealing about a hero who is self-sufficient, lives off the grid, and becomes fiercely devoted to his woman. They're often portrayed as a bit wild, untamed, and sometimes a little socially awkward, which adds to their charm. They embody a primal kind of love and protection that's hard to resist. Plus, the small-town settings often provide a cozy, close-knit community feel, which contrasts beautifully with the intensity of the main couple's relationship. It's a fantasy of being utterly cherished and protected, no matter what. If you're new to the genre or this series, I'd suggest diving in with any book that catches your eye, though reading them in order definitely enhances the experience of seeing the brothers' stories unfold. 'Saved by the Mountain Man' is a perfect entry point if you're looking for that intense, low-angst romance I mentioned before. You'll find yourself cheering for Teddy and Juniper, just like I did. Have you read any other books in 'The Montana Mountain Men' series? Or are there other Gemma Weir books you’d recommend? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
