Hey everyone! So glad to be here on Lemon8 and share a piece of my world with you all. As I mentioned, tattoos are a huge passion of mine, and each one tells a unique story that’s etched into my skin, literally! I’ve got so many pieces that mean the world to me, and I’m always dreaming up the next one. Today, I really wanted to dive into some of my most cherished tattoos, especially the ones on my legs and thighs that often spark so much curiosity! One of my absolute favorites is located right on my leg, a beautiful reminder that reads 'No Matter When.' This isn’t just any script; it’s actually in my dad’s own handwriting, which makes it incredibly special. It’s a matching tattoo that my mom, my sister, and I all got together. It symbolizes our family bond and a promise to always be there for each other, no matter what challenges life throws our way. Getting it done was such an emotional and bonding experience for us, and every time I look down at my leg, I’m reminded of their unwavering love and support. It’s a subtle yet powerful daily affirmation. Then there's my big thigh piece – a vibrant bouquet of flowers that holds so much family history. This isn't just any floral arrangement; it's a representation of the birth flowers for my entire immediate family: my mom, my dad, my sisters, and myself. It’s quite a large piece, and the thigh provided the perfect canvas for the intricate details and colors. I worked closely with my artist to make sure each flower was perfectly rendered, creating a stunning visual narrative of our family tree. It took a few sessions, and yes, some parts were definitely spicy, but seeing it come to life, knowing it carries the essence of everyone I hold dear, was absolutely worth every second. It’s a constant source of joy and a beautiful way to carry my loved ones with me, always. Beyond these, I also have a tattoo on my arm that reads 'Cont;nue,' with a semicolon. For me and my friends, this semicolon represents our shared commitment to mental health awareness and support, a reminder that our story isn't over yet, and there's always hope for a new chapter. It's a powerful symbol of resilience. Another arm tattoo, a loving message, says: 'You are LOVED. You are SPECIAL. You are IMPORTANT. You are NEEDED. NEVER EVER FORGET THAT ❤️.' This one is a daily dose of self-love and encouragement, something I think we all need to hear. And on my other arm, I have two cardinals perched on a flowering branch, which beautifully represents my late Aunt Cherri and Granny. They were such important figures in my life, and having them symbolized in such a peaceful and beautiful way brings me comfort. Choosing meaningful tattoos is a process I truly enjoy. For me, it’s about finding a design that resonates deeply, whether it’s a personal mantra, a tribute to loved ones, or a symbol of a journey I’ve been on. I always think about placement carefully – how it will look, how it will age, and what it represents in relation to its spot on my body.
