BIG BEAR 2025
Visited Big Bear today May 21st and let me tell you that it is filled with snow and a clear road. Definitely a good time to visit if you are thinking about coming down. Even tho weather shows 60 degrees, it felt like it was at least 74.

I know many of you are already thinking about planning your Big Bear adventures for 2025, and you might be wondering, "Will there still be snow?" Based on my recent visit in May, Big Bear can definitely surprise you with its winter wonderland vibes, even late in the season! My experience, seeing the snowy landscape with pine trees and pinecones dusted in white, truly shows that Big Bear’s weather can be unpredictable and delightful. From what I've learned, Big Bear's higher elevation often means snow can linger much longer than in other areas, sometimes even into late spring. So, while you might be searching for Big Bear snow 2025, thinking about deep winter, don’t rule out the shoulder seasons. My May 21st visit, with snowy conditions and a clear blue sky, felt like a bonus winter day. It was warm enough to enjoy being outside, but the crisp air and snow made it feel magical. If you're planning for Big Bear snow 2025, here are a few tips I picked up: Always check road conditions before you head up, especially if you're aiming for those snowy months. Even when the roads are clear, as they were for me, having chains in your car is always a smart move during winter and spring. I was so glad the roads were clear, making the drive stress-free. The beauty of seeing the pine trees laden with snow is worth the preparation! When it comes to what to pack, layers are your best friend! Even though the weather app showed 60 degrees, it felt more like 74 in the sun, especially with the snow reflecting the light. So, bring sunscreen and sunglasses, even if you’re expecting cold. Waterproof boots are a must if you plan to walk around and explore the snowy landscape or search for unique pinecones. You'll want to be comfortable enjoying the fresh air and stunning views. For Big Bear snow 2025, keep in mind that the best time for guaranteed snow is typically from December to March, but as my experience shows, Mother Nature loves to keep us on our toes! Always check the resort websites for skiing and snowboarding conditions if that's your goal, as late-season operations can vary. But even if the slopes aren't open, there's always snowshoeing, sledding, or just enjoying a scenic walk among the pine trees in the snowy conditions. It’s truly a place to visit any time snow is around. My personal takeaway? Big Bear is full of surprises, and even if you're planning well in advance for Big Bear snow 2025, be ready for anything – and you'll have an amazing time!
