How I hide ugly rental stuff on a budget😒

hi friends!!

i'm just a girl, so i'm not sure what these random boxes are for... so i just safely ✨cover✨ them!

the first one is the power box ( i think ) and it's right as you walk in... so it needed to be covered. i wanted to put some kind of personality on the wall, and i thought, why not a blanket or tapestry from a concert or festival ( because i go to a lot of them! ) it also gives easy access to the box on the wall!

i also have a box similar in the closet that i haven't been able to open... so i just cover it!! 🙊 it's deep in my closet so it gets hidden by things that need to be stores like extra pillows, blankets, clothes, etc!

how do you take care of eye sores? :)

... Read moreHiding unsightly rental features such as power boxes or utility panels can be a challenge, especially when you want to maintain both style and function without spending a fortune. One practical approach is to use decorative tapestries or blankets that reflect your personality—like concert or festival memorabilia—to cover power boxes while keeping them accessible for safety and maintenance. This method brings a cozy, personal touch to your space and turns an eyesore into a statement piece. In closets or less visible areas, similar boxes that cannot be opened easily can be disguised by stacking or layering storage items like pillows, extra blankets, and clothes. This helps camouflage them naturally without the need for permanent alterations—a crucial consideration for renters. Organizing these items strategically not only enhances the room’s look but also optimizes storage space. For those seeking more budget-friendly ideas, consider lightweight folding screens, removable wallpaper, or even DIY fabric panels hung with command hooks. These options blend creativity and convenience while ensuring that you don’t damage walls or fixtures. Maintaining easy access to covered boxes is important. For example, using tapestries that are barely attached or simply draped can allow quick removal if needed. This preserves functionality without compromising on aesthetics. Do you have other clever rental space hacks? Many renters find that small, personalized touches like these improve comfort and satisfaction in a temporary living environment. Share your tips on how you balance practicality and style when tackling rental eyesores—your ideas could inspire others facing the same challenges.

Love it. I have a power box right as soon as you walk in my apartment on the wall too. You just gave me a good idea. I have a George Strait concert tapestry from his concert I went to. Thank you.

fortunately, my fuse box is in basement and the pipe access on the wall is hidden by the fridge. But softened wonder how people cover those things up.

How I hide ugly rental stuff on a budget
This is how I hide the ugly things in my apartment on a budget. I don't like seeing cables at all, especially in the floor. That's why I like to cover them with bigger plants because I could put them in a decor basket and I could also use the basket to hide the cables inside. These type
