Claude Mythos' AI detects tens of thousands of vulnerabilities
Claude Mythos' AI detected tens of thousands of vulnerabilities on several popular software.
According to a report by The Hacker News website, the success of Project Glasswing, a project by Anthropic, a company that developed the famous AI tool Claude to develop cybersecurity with up to 50 participating partners, all 50 of which will have the privilege of using Claude's special model called Claude Mythos, a trial version (Preview) to find serious security vulnerabilities on systems before hackers and cybercriminals detect and use them first. The result of the project is because the vulnerability is detected. Over ten thousand loopholes, divided into different categories:
Up to 23,019 Candidates are eligible. Divided into
It was inspected by 1,900 external monitoring units.
1,729 confirmed vulnerabilities
Report to the system owner 467 loopholes.
Report to the system owner by way of Antropic directly 1,129 loopholes.
This results in 1,596 reported security vulnerabilities to the system owner. This will be dealt with as follows:
Acknowledged 1,451 vulnerability
Patch out. 97 loopholes.
Published as Security Advisory, 88 Vulnerability
One of the vulnerabilities discovered by this project is a vulnerability with a seriousness rating, or CVSS Score, of up to 9.1. The vulnerability, coded CVE-2026-5194, is a vulnerability within WolfSSL that allows hackers to create and use fake certificates to claim to be valid Service.
In addition to the ability to find vulnerabilities, the participating banks found that Claude Mythos can also be used to combat Fraud. The AI can detect and prevent money transfers worth up to $1.5 million ($49,398,000), which is caused by hackers hacking customers' mail and fraudulent calls to make money transfer lists.
Anthropic also announced that in addition to Project Glasswing, it plans to launch a Cyber Verification Program that will allow accredited cybersecurity professionals to use the Claude Mythos model without a Guardrail to exploit loopholes, test hacks, and simulate Red Teaming.
