3 GENIUS KITCHEN HACKS THAT ACTUALLY WORK!
I used to be that girl who opened the fridge, found 3 mystery containers, and just… closed it again. Or couldn’t remember the date I put them in, so I’d just toss all those leftover. Essentially wasting money.
But ever since getting with my husband, I’ve made peace with my kitchen. It’s only took him 7 years to help with my bad habits. 😂
These 3 tiny changes made a HUGE difference in how I store, cook, and think about food. I wish I remembered the creators I saw doing a few of these on Tik tok, but know I am not smart enough to come up with all of these on my own.
✨ Lazy Susan for leftovers? Life-changing.
- Get a lazy Susan and put items that you’re constantly reaching in the back and fighting the items in the front for, on it. They actually now sell square ones for refrigerators! Check Amazon.
✨ Freezing extra eggs? Saves my baking days and we don’t have to throw out bad eggs.
-You can freeze eggs in ice trays or silicone molds. And you can even meal prep scrabbled eggs and freeze them!
✨ Spices in a photo album? No more digging mid-recipe.
- This one I found on Tik Tok and I was honestly a bit hesitant how I would like it. But!!! It makes finding my spice packets, dip mixes, even my tea, so much easier and faster.
✨ Freezing any extras that we won’t eat in 3 days!
-The day I cooked something, all the extra that we can’t eat in three days goes into the freezer. This keeps food from being thrown out, it helps on days you don’t feel like cooking. Just thaw and serve. And it saves a little bit of money because you’re meal prepping and in the long run, making more and buying in bulk saves.
They may seem small, but they’ve saved me money, time, and so much mental energy.
And yes, I still sometimes burn food. 😂 Advice for that is appreciated.
