📓YPT – free productivity app

🧠 if you’re like me who isn’t motivated to study and have been looking into an app that can keep you accountable, i recommend checking out YPT – yeolpumta!

💡 I went back to using this app a while ago and I noticed they added a new pomodoro timer feature which is neat. I think it’s useful to have if you have trouble focusing!

⏱️ I keep myself concentrated on my studying or tasks using this app. I created subjects like literature class, piano practicing, and conducting class, each in different color tabs. You’re allowed to have up to 40 apps useable in concentration mode, and also set which apps to block when in concentration mode.

🗓️ there’s also an insights tab showing how much you have been “concentrating,” the days in the month where you have “concentrated,” timeline of “concentrating” for the day, just these neat statistics for you to see.

👥 there’s also the option to create study groups and set d-days if needed. overall it’s very simple to use yet effective for me.

❔ what is your ultimate productivity app?

... Read moreAs someone who often struggles with staying motivated and focused, discovering the YPT (Yeolpumta) app felt like hitting the jackpot. It's a fantastic free productivity tool that genuinely helps you take control of your study or work sessions. I wanted to dive a bit deeper into why I find it so essential, especially for those of you searching for a reliable study timer or a way to improve your concentration. First off, let's talk about the YPT app interface. It's incredibly clean and user-friendly, which was a huge plus for me. Setting up my study subjects is super straightforward; I can categorize them with different color tabs, just like my 'Literature' class or 'Piano practice' sessions, making it easy to visually track my time. The app is available on both iOS & Android, so accessibility isn't an issue. The main screen elegantly displays your timer and customizable subject categories, giving you a clear overview of your current focus. One of YPT’s most powerful features is its study timer, particularly the Pomodoro Mode. If you've ever wondered how to effectively manage your study time, this is it. You can set specific focus intervals, typically 25 minutes, followed by short breaks. What I love is the ability to select up to 40 'Allowed Apps' while in concentration mode and block others. This means no more getting sidetracked by social media notifications! When a session starts, the app ensures those distracting apps are temporarily inaccessible, creating a true 'time limit' environment for focused work. To end a study session on YPT, you simply stop the timer, and the app logs your time. There's even an option for manual logging of study time, which is handy if you forget to start the timer initially or if you're tracking offline activities like 'Theory' studies. The app goes beyond just a timer. The 'insights tab' is incredibly motivating. It provides a detailed breakdown of your concentration over time, showing you how much you've been focused daily, weekly, or monthly. You can see concentrated days highlighted on a calendar, giving you a tangible sense of progress. This visual feedback, along with a D-day countdown feature, really helps me stay accountable and push myself further. Plus, the study groups feature allows you to connect with peers, observe their focus times, and collectively work towards academic goals, adding a layer of community and motivation. For a free app, the level of detail and functionality is truly impressive. It’s not just about managing time; it’s about understanding and improving your study habits.
