going on a no-buy

over time, my stationery collection grew significantly, a lot of them were limited-edition ones. most I bought with my own money, and recent are gifted from friends and family, and i realize my collection is getting out of control xD.

i’m planning on using up my pens first. and based on ink manufactured/expiry date, I’d use from oldest to newest. I made a collection of the types of inks I have to see easily how much of which needs to be used up.

With countless brands producing limited-edition items, it’s easy to get swept away in the excitement. From brands like SARASA to ZEBRA and their unique ink properties, knowing the specifics of what you own can enhance your experience. Keeping a catalogue of your stationery not only brings order but also allows you to appreciate the beauty of your existing supplies. Think about organizing by color, type, or even expiration date of the inks, as this can inspire creativity while helping you to make the most of what you have. Consider challenging yourself to create unique art or letters entirely with what’s already there. As you transition into this no-buy phase, mindfulness about purchases becomes key. Reflect on what truly brings you joy rather than succumbing to trends. Engaging with online communities around stationery can offer motivation and support, letting you share your experiences with others who understand the struggle. Ultimately, a no-buy journey isn't just about cutting back; it's also about finding joy in the items you already cherish.

People throw them out after they expire? Odd, I keep then as long as they are still working. I still have some from college 7 years ago.

How did you learn the expiration date of the ink? I didn’t even know pens had those 😭
