Notion setup that failed me
These are some Notion setups that I eventually ditched because I don’t find myself needing to use them during the term:
1. week-at-a-glance: I wanted to keep my weekly less cluttered but every time I move the whole week into a page to archive, they don’t keep their columns and it’s time consuming to drag and drop everytime so I stopped touching it. Unless Notion comes up with a better time-table system, I won’t be using one.
2. Daily journal: the rows just don’t feel the same as time-blocking in my actual planner, and also, I’m not always using my laptop when I don’t have school. I just don’t find myself using it to write down daily recaps. so I eventually ditched it
3. Ideas dump: I realized I just kept them all in my head instead of reaching to use an idea dump page in Notion so this obviously didn’t work for my needs.
Notion is a powerful organizational tool, but not every feature works for everyone. The lack of accessibility, especially when not at my laptop, made it impractical, leading to neglect over time. 3. **Ideas Dump**: I envisioned a dedicated space for storing random ideas, but I often found myself relying on my phone's notes app instead, making the Notion page redundant. Instead of forcing an incompatible setup, it's essential to adapt your tools to your lifestyle. Reevaluating your personal needs can lead to more efficient workflows.
