Shiokalicious, affordable spicy ramen ~ must try

Comfort food with a spicy kick 🌶️🍜 at Takagi Ramen (Redhill outlet) today

This homegrown Japanese ramen spot is known for its affordable, no-fuss bowls built on a slow-simmered tonkotsu broth—rich, savoury & consistently satisfying. Perfect for a quick ramen fix without breaking the bank, with a menu that ranges from classic bowls to bold, locally-inspired flavours.

What we had:

• Blazing Chilli Fish Ramen ( choose the tonkotsu broth) – spicy, tangy & surprisingly light

• Chilli Beef Ramen ( chose the shoyu broth) – deeper, richer broth with a mild balanced heat

• Rose Salt Collagen Snow Pear Green Tea – lightly floral, smooth finish

• Snow Pear Green Tea – crisp, refreshing & balances the spice well

A perfectly yummy finish! 完食は幸運を呼ぶ—finishing your meal brings good luck. Such a wonderful message to end a nice meal!

Also worth noting: they also offer donburi, sides & drinks, making it a convenient all-rounder for casual meals.

A reliable go-to when you’re craving something warm, flavourful, affordable & comforting—especially on a rainy day.

SHIOKALICIOUS!

Takagi Ramen @ Redhill
4/23 Edited to

... Read moreTakagi Ramen at Redhill stands out not only for its affordable pricing but also for its dedication to delivering authentic yet innovative ramen flavors. Beyond the popular Blazing Chilli Fish and Chilli Beef Ramen, it's worth exploring their donburi options and side dishes which complement the hearty ramen well. A highlight for me was the tea selection—specifically the Rose Salt Collagen Snow Pear Green Tea and the Snow Pear Green Tea. Both drinks offered a refreshing balance to the bold spice in the ramen, cleansing the palate and enhancing the dining experience. What’s charming about Takagi Ramen is their commitment to quality broths simmered slowly to unlock deep flavors while maintaining an approachable price point for everyday diners. Whether you prefer the creamy, savory tonkotsu or the deeper shoyu broth, each bowl is thoughtfully crafted. On rainy days, I often look for warm, flavorful meals, and Takagi Ramen has become my go-to spot. The cosy, no-fuss setting paired with their hearty dishes makes it an ideal casual meal destination. I’ve also noticed their support for community causes, adding a meaningful touch to the brand. If you haven't tried their menu yet, I recommend starting with their signature chili bowls and pairing them with any of their unique green tea blends. This combination feels like a perfect balance of heat, savoriness, and refreshing smoothness that leaves you feeling satisfied without being overwhelmed.
