NEW Wagyu Hamburg Udon is a must-try!

🇯🇵 Founded by TV Champion’s “Best Sanuki Udon Chef” Tamotsu Kurokawa, Tamoya serves authentic Sanuki udon made with imported Japanese flour and its signature bonito-based “Golden Soup”. It’s always a tasty experience here, with warm, attentive service every visit.

✨ The NEW Wagyu Hamburg Udon is a must-try! Two 80g premium Wagyu hamburg steaks are simmered in a rich shoyu broth with Tamoya’s signature chewy udon. I especially loved the tender Japanese daikon, which soaked up the umami-rich broth beautifully. I chose to cook the hamburg a little longer in the broth, though you can also dip it into the fresh egg yolk for an even richer finish. Now $15.90 (U.P. $18.90)!

Unagi lovers won’t want to miss the Unagi Series! We enjoyed the Unagi Kabayaki Gozen ($15.50), a hearty set complete with grilled unagi, rice, miso soup & sides. Also available are the Unagi Onsen Egg Udon and Unagi with Tamago Mentai Don, perfect if you’re craving something a little different.

The sides are absolutely worth ordering & are a must-have whenever I dine here! This time, we enjoyed the Chicken Katsu, Kaki Fry, Kakiage Tempura & Japanese Pumpkin Tempura — each one perfectly executed & great for sharing.

Service is really proactive & friendly! Big shout out!

... Read moreHaving visited Tamoya Udon multiple times, I can say their dedication to authentic Japanese flavors truly shines in every dish. The NEW Wagyu Hamburg Udon stands out as a perfect blend of richness and texture — the premium Wagyu hamburg steaks are tender and infused with the umami of the golden bonito-based shoyu broth. What really elevated the dish for me was the addition of Japanese daikon, which absorbed the savory broth beautifully, adding a mild sweetness and crunchy texture. One tip I’ve found enjoyable is experimenting with how you eat the hamburg steak: either simmer it a little longer in the broth for deeper flavor or dip it in the fresh egg yolk for a creamy finish that complements the chewy udon noodles perfectly. If you’re a fan of unagi, Tamoya’s Unagi Series offers familiar yet refined choices. The Unagi Kabayaki Gozen set delivers grilled unagi with perfect caramelization, complemented by rice, miso soup, and side dishes — it’s a hearty, satisfying meal. I also recommend trying the Unagi Onsen Egg Udon and the Unagi with Tamago Mentai Don for a unique twist that combines traditional flavors with a contemporary flair. Don’t miss out on the sides; they are fantastic for sharing. The Chicken Katsu was crispy without being greasy, the Kaki Fry had a fresh seafood flavor, and the tempura options—Kakiage and Japanese Pumpkin—were light and perfectly fried. These add variety and round off the dining experience beautifully. What makes dining at Tamoya even better is their warm and proactive service. From placing your order to recommendations and check-ins during the meal, the staff are friendly and attentive, making the experience comfortable and enjoyable. Finally, with multiple convenient locations including Plaza Singapura, SingPost Centre, and Suntec City, Tamoya is easily accessible for anyone craving authentic Sanuki udon and unique Japanese dishes in Singapore. It’s definitely worth a visit whether you’re new to udon or a seasoned lover of Japanese cuisine.
